The Quincy Music Theatre (QMT) announced the launch of its “40 for 40” fundraising campaign, an initiative to celebrate the theatre’s 40th anniversary and raise $40,000. This campaign comes at a critical moment following recent state budget cuts, which saw a significant drop in arts funding to the tune of $32 million.

Founded in 1984, QMT has been a cornerstone of the North Florida performing arts scene, providing unforgettable shows and fostering a love for musical theatre with audience members and performers alike. As the theatre marks its 40th year, the “40 for 40” campaign aims to ensure the continuation of this legacy for the next generation of theatre lovers.

“Our theatre has been a vital part of our region’s cultural landscape for four decades,” said Olga Connolly, QMT Executive Director. “The ’40 for 40′ campaign is not just a celebration of how far we’ve come, but a commitment to our future. We are calling on our community, patrons and supporters to join us in reaching this goal.”

Donations to the “40 for 40” campaign can be made online or by contacting the theatre’s box office at (850) 875-9444.
