Quincy, FL — Quincy Music Theatre is proud to announce its 41st season, themed Dreams, Determination & Defiance – a season that celebrates the ambition, resilience and transformative journeys that define great theatre. The season celebrates characters who dare to dream, overcome obstacles and challenge the status quo—while reflecting the spirit of a community theatre looking ahead with renewed momentum.

Season 41 includes:

Chicago
October 3–12, 2025
Chicago is a fast-paced, high-energy musical that explores ambition, showmanship and the lengths people will go to chase the spotlight. Set in the roaring 1920s and packed with jazz-infused hits like “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango,” this stylish satire of celebrity culture and justice is a feast for the eyes and ears. Whether you’re drawn in by the iconic Bob Fosse-inspired choreography or the biting wit of its story, Chicago is a show you won’t want to miss.

Merrily We Roll Along
December 5–14, 2025
With a brilliant and complex score by Stephen Sondheim, Merrily We Roll Along is a beautiful and thought-provoking musical told in reverse—moving from adulthood to youthful ambition. It explores how friendships evolve, dreams shift, and life takes unexpected turns. Long considered a hidden gem in Sondheim’s catalog, Merrily is now enjoying a celebrated resurgence thanks to its recent Tony-winning Broadway revival, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez. Don’t miss the chance to experience this moving and musically rich story, now recognized as one of Sondheim’s most emotionally resonant works.

Oliver!
February 27–March 8, 2026
A true classic of musical theatre, Oliver! has captivated audiences for generations with its timeless story and unforgettable songs like “Consider Yourself” and “Food, Glorious Food.” Based on Charles Dickens’ beloved novel, this heartwarming tale of a young orphan’s search for family and belonging has earned its place as one of the most prestigious titles in the musical theatre canon. With rich characters, memorable music, and universal themes of hope and resilience, this is a must-see for audiences of all ages.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
May 8–17, 2026
Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s rise from teenage songwriter to music legend. Featuring smash hits like “You’ve Got a Friend,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” and “It’s Too Late,” this feel-good musical celebrates the woman behind the soundtrack of a generation. As a regional premiere, QMT is proud to bring this powerful story to our stage for the very first time—don’t miss the chance to be among the first in North Florida to experience it live.

“As we close out our 40th anniversary season, we wanted a theme that reflects the heart of these stories and where we are as a theatre,” said Olga Connolly, QMT Executive Director. “Our season 41 shows are all about creative risk, personal growth and the will to keep moving forward.”

QMT’s ongoing 40 for 40 fundraising campaign continues to invite community support as the organization works to offset recent statewide arts funding cuts and build sustainable growth into its next decade. One-time and recurring donations can be made at quincymusictheatre.com.

Musician sponsorships are also available. Individuals can sponsor a pit musician for $450 or a full orchestra for $5,000. Corporate and Angel sponsorship packages offer additional ways to support the theatre’s mission.

“We’ve seen how deeply this theatre matters to the people in our region,” said QMT Board President, Kafui Ablordeppey. “The response from our community has been incredible—and we’re inviting more folks to get involved, whether through sponsorship, volunteering or just coming on out to enjoy a show.”

Tickets for the final show of the 40th season, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (running May 9–18), are on sale now – and be on the lookout for announcements about when tickets will go on sale for our 41st season.
