As part of our commitment to serving the community through the performing arts, we are excited to continue offering Broadway Bound, a K-12th grade theatre education program.
This after school program gives students the fundamental skills needed to excel in music theatre. The program also provides a foundation for creative habits and confidence that allows students to shine socially and academically. The heart of our curriculum is to teach students to express themselves creatively, to work and play collaboratively, and to cultivate professionalism. This semester, students will work toward acing their auditions for theatrical productions on Monday's with Naomi Rose-Mock and will work on their Improvisational skills on Thursdays with Robyn Smith Peters.
QMT is very excited to have a talented pair of instructors to direct our students. Leading the young performers in Broadway Bound are Quincy Music Theatre veterans Naomi Rose-Mock and Robyn Smith Peters. Both Naomi and Robyn have extensive theatre experience on and off stage, and are kind, inspiring, and naturally gifted teachers. Naomi has directed recent QMT shows Sweeney Todd, Mary Poppins, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in addition to teaching private lessons and directing the annual Leon Performing Arts Summer Musical. Robyn has appeared in over 14 mainstage shows at QMT such as Seussical, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Fantasticks as well as being on staff for the QMT Summer Camp for the past 4 years as the Choreographer, Costumer, and now Director. Both Naomi and Robyn are excited to continue to move QMT’s Broadway Bound onward and upward!
